Ms. Clougherty – French

Bonjour!  I am very excited to be teaching French at Schuyler.

This year I will only be teaching French 1.  This is an intro course.  Students will learn about the French culture (including areas outside of France that are French speaking countries), basic French vocabulary, basic French grammar (and a little bit of English grammar along the way) and how to study a language.

There will be homework frequently because it is necessary to practice often when learning a new language.  There will be at least 1 quiz every chapter and 1 test at the end of every chapter.  I am trying to introduce a project that goes along with every chapter, but that will be easier for some chapters than others.  For those interested, we will be following the book pretty closely, if you would like to look ahead.

I only have access while I am at school.  I arrive at school at 7:20 am and I am usually there until 4-4:30pm.
