This class will examine the creation of the United States through the Civil War.  We will discuss topics such as colonization, American Revolution, Constitution, Manifest Destiny, and the Civil War.  Students will acquire skills necessary for state testing.

9th Grade American History

This course emphasizes the political, social, economic, and cultural forces which have shaped the United States.  Students will explore significant ideas, personalities, and movements as well as major wars that have shaped America during the Reconstruction to the present.
