Dear Parents, Students, and other invested individuals:

I would like to introduce myself as the 7-12 Principal at Schuyler R-1. I have been in the education field for twenty-five years, teaching and coaching. My previous experiences have been at: Harmony School District-11 years (IA), Davis County-6 years (IA), Scotland County-3 years, Schuyler County-4 years, and Kirksville-1 year. I have taught in grades 4th-8th, and coaches various activities from 5th-12th grade. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Augsburg College (Mpls, MN), a Master's in General Education from Viterbo University (LaCrosse, WI), and my Masters in Secondary Administration from William Woods University (Fulton, MO).

I have eight kids and one granddaughter: Tyler (daughter Kimber), Aaron, Jacob (and his wife Kaitlyn). Drayven (10th), Eddie (9th), Tilda (9th), Esther (8th), and Lola (6th). The youngest five kids are looking forward to returning to Schuyler. My wife, Alta, is a counselor for the Adolescents at Preferred Family Health.

Like my kids, I am very much looking forward to returning to Schuyler County. The four years prior here were very special to me and my family. The idea to engage with my former students and help them further along to become lifelong learners, is something I hold very special.
