Student Council traveled to California, Missouri today for the Northeast Regional District Meeting. We are bringing lots of good ideas back with us to Schuyler County.

8th grade team lost 47-31
The Schuyler 7th grade boys moved to 1-0 on the season by defeating Salisbury 24-16. The Rams played hard as a team to earn their first W.

Veteran's Day Assembly is scheduled for November 11 at 1:30pm in the HS Gym. Cake and punch will be served before the assembly in the HS Resource Center.

Seniors and families, make plans to come to FAFSA Night on November 17. This is a great time to get questions answered and/or fill out the FAFSA, see the flyer for details and sign up outside the office door.
HS/JH October Student of the Month:
Xavia Cullers was nominated by Mrs. Poe because she is always prepared and ready to do her best work. She is willing to help others and strives to be her best self. I have been very impressed with her character growth and mature attitude.
Deacon Schoonover was nominated by Coach Prewitt because he is a hard worker who shows up ready to go once the bell rings. On top of putting everything he has into every workout, he rarely complains and will do whatever is asked of him. Deacon is a respectable young man and I am very glad to have him in class.
Haylee Gordon was nominated by Mrs. Priebe because she is always on task and respectful in class. She always gets her work done way ahead of time and is always willing to help others.
2nd hour Chemistry I class performs flame tests on a variety of cations.
Due to transportation issues, we are pushing back the tipoff of the JH basketball games vs Salisbury on 11/3 to 6:30pm.
The deadline for the December ACT test is November 4.
Remember if you are a junior or senior and have free and reduced lunches, come see Mrs. O'Haver for a fee waiver.
