Coach Prewitt will be hosting a basketball camp for boys at Schuyler this summer. There will be 3 different sessions (3rd-5th grade/ 6th-8th grade/ varsity/jv). The camp will run June 1st-June 3rd. Attached is the flier with more information. I will be handing out a paper copy to teachers of students entering grades 3rd-6th today. For junior high and high school students, copies will be in the high school office. Forms with payment will be due on 4/29/21. I am looking forward to getting in the gym and improving this summer!

Baseball senior night is scheduled for 4/20/21 vs Atlanta

In kindergarten science class, students are learning about the basic needs of people and animals. They made bird feeders (i.e. pinecones with peanut butter and bird seed) to provide for birds their need for food.


Our third graders have been busy doing research to put together their Famous Missourian presentations. Way to be Achievers!

Due to wet field conditions, the v/jv baseball games for tonight (3/29) have been moved to Scotland. First pitch at 5pm.

Reminder: School is IN SESSION tomorrow (Monday), March 29th.
No school on Friday, April 2nd.

Saturday’s baseball games at Cairo have been changed due to weather. We will now only play one game against Cairo at 2:00pm.

Kindergarten students did a great job performing the dosey do, chicken dance, shoo fly, Russian polka, Cupid Shuffle, and a short ballet tonight. Thanks Mrs. Dixon, parents, grandparents, and Kindergarten teachers for making this wonderful evening possible!





The elementary will be celebrating their 4th annual Kindness Week next week, March 29-April 1. Please help us celebrate being kind by dressing up and participating in each day’s challenge. This is brought to you by our sixth grade students and Mrs. Kaden.


Due to conflicts between golf and baseball, we have reschedule the baseball game @ Novinger. It was originally scheduled on the 30th which was the same day as the La Plata golf meet. We have now moved the baseball game to Wednesday, March 31st. 5pm first pitch.

Our 6th grade students are learning about ancient civilizations in social studies. They will be creating projects to showcase their knowledge this semester.


5th and 6th graders have been learning about animals and environments to help animals progress through March Mammal Madness.



The golf meet with Canton tonight has been cancelled (3/23).

Varsity track meet at Kirksville today will allow two tickets per athlete. If you don’t have one, they will be available at ticket booth. Throwing events start at 4pm and Running events will start at 5pm.

Elementary students are bringing home third quarter report cards today. Please check backpacks.

Mr. Kirkland’s first hour class, along with student teacher Sydney Snyder, working on archery today in PE.


Our preschool and kindergarten students didn’t have any luck catching a leprechaun today, but they had fun trying!
