Breakfast and lunch will be provided Monday-Friday during the school closure beginning MONDAY, MARCH 30TH. Meals can be picked up between 9:00-11:00 A.M. (CHANGED from previous post) in the parent pick-up line behind the elementary. Meals are free to Schuyler residents 18 years and under. IF you have not already emailed the number of meals you intend to pick up, please use this link to notify school personnel how many meals to prepare for your children (you only need to submit once for the length of the program):

Attention Seniors. Graduation Announcements & Caps and Gowns have arrived. Come join us for the “Drive-Thru” delivery in you School’s circle drive Wednesday, March 25th from 10:00-11:00am. ELEMENTARY
Please check out the grade level Facebook page or other app your child’s teacher uses (ClassTag, Dojo, Seesaw, etc.). PK-6 teachers plan to post resources they recommend, supplemental or enrichment activities, and/or information. Our hope is that you’ll be able to utilize these activities to have students review and practice skills they have been working on at school. Please be safe during this time. We appreciate your support and patience!
After meeting with the local health departments and area superintendents concerning the corona virus crisis it has been decided that we will be canceling school starting tomorrow, Tuesday the 17th. All school activities, contests, practices and events here at Schuyler R-1 Schools will be canceled as well. The date to come back to school as of now is April 6th. There are to be no activities in the buildings during this time of shut down. This is obviously a difficult decision and unprecedented in our lifetime. This will cause hardship for many in the district and we certainly appreciate everyone for their patience, support, and understanding. We will do our best to communicate with all parties as we continue to monitor the situation.

Happy Read-In Day from Schuyler R-1 Elementary! We tried to make reading time extra special today. Celebrate with a good book this weekend!
Preschool is learning about shadows. They enjoyed watching their shadows at recess and making neat silhouettes in class!
Second grade is learning about sudden and slow changes to Earth. Mr. Randolph did an experiment on how water slowly erodes and changes mountains and other landforms.
Just a reminder that 7th - 12th Parent Teacher Conference will be on March 17th from 4:00-7:00.
Miss Robin from MU Extension began at Schuyler R-1 Elementary this week teaching lessons on nutrition and health to our K-3 students. This week is an introduction to the food groups and handwashing procedures and practice.
We have a fun group of 5th and 6th grade students in Art Club this year. They work on projects for school activities, such as Kindness Week, as well as personal projects to enhance their artistic abilities!
