Our Special Olympics basketball teams competed last weekend. The school team received Bronze. The adult team received Gold. State Track for our Special Olympic athletes will be held June 1-3 in Springfield.
The dental clinic is coming Wednesday, March 28th, for the second application of varnish for the students that turned in permission forms.

Ms. Stewart’s first grade was introduced to coding today. The students loved coding Daisy the dinosaur’s movements.

Crazy for Kindness Day! It was crazy hair and crazy socks today for Kindness Week.


Mrs. Thompson's College Biology students are trying to determine the "evolution" of cookies. They are creating phylogenetic trees based on different characteristics to the cookies.

Mindy Knupp, an ethanol profiler in a laboratory, visited fourth grade today to explain how yeast grows and gives off gases. She told about her job checking for good and bad yeast and bacteria. She also brought Hog Wash drinks that were partially created through a bioprocess of living organisms. Thanks Mindy!

Mrs. Amen’s class had an eventful day Friday celebrating Dr. Suess’ birthday, making Ooblek, and playing with Mrs. Dixon’s chicks.




Today, March 2nd, is Dr. Seuss‘s birthday. Classroom celebrations included reading Dr. Seuss books, watching Dr. Seuss movie clips, making oobelec, eating green eggs and ham, etc.
