Second grade started learning about measuring in centimeters this week!

This week is MSHSAA Winter Sports Officials Appreciation Week. These dedicated men and women take time away from their work schedules and their families to provide our student-athletes the opportunity to play the games they love and contribute to the overall experience our student-athletes receive while participating in educational athletics. Thank you from all of us at Schuyler!

A big thanks to Katelyn Roberts from Tri-County for being our slushie server today! She had a really big fan at lunch!

Sixth grade science students learned about the layers of Earth by making a model out of homemade dough. 🌎

The High School Mini-Med School at the University of Missouri Columbia is returning this June for two sessions. Session 1 runs from June 1-5 and Session 2 is from June 8-12.
This overnight camp is for current Missouri high school juniors (rising seniors) who are interested in a career in medicine. Students will attend lectures and will participate in the same Patient Based Learning (PBL) curriculum that Mizzou medical students do. We will have lots of hands-on clinical experiences, time our simulation and anatomy centers and social events in the evenings. This is a great experience for anyone who is considering medical school after college.
The cost for this camp is $650 which includes all the camp fees, lodging, camp deposit of $50 and meals. There are some scholarships available, and the application is free to complete.
The application is open January 17 and is due March 16 along with a transcript and a letter of recommendation from a past or current science teacher. For more information about the camp and the application visit: https://medicine.missouri.edu/offices-programs/education/pre-med-outreach-programs/mini-medical-school
