September Students of the Month for Jr and Sr High goes to: Katelyn Sweezer, nominated by Ms. Armstrong. Katelyn is always willing to help anyone who needs it. She is a good student and friend to her fellow classmates. Taylor Erwin, nominated by Mr. Aeschilman. Taylor was nominated for always prepared and becoming a leader with a good work ethic and attitude Kaitlyn Hatfield, nominated by Mrs. Blessing. Kaitlyn is the student council president for the second year and she is always willing to work hard to make this school a better place to be.

Update on Girls Golf: August 30th Golf Meet at Lancaster: Putnam, Kirksville, and Schuyler met. 8 varsity girls met: Haylee Burns, senior, placed 3rd out of 8th scoring 51. September 13th Golf Meet at Marceline: Cairo, Marceline, Salisbury, and Schuyler met. 16 varsity girls met: Haylee Burns, senior, placed 10th out of 16, scoring 61.

JH Cross Country competed at Salisbury this evening: Ava Crawford was our only girl and she finished 52nd. Asher Applegate medaled in 10th place with time of 14:48. Tristen Vincent was 15th, Tyson Droste 16th, Jaxson Kaden 33rd and Cason Antal was 57th. This course was longest of the year at 3500 meters. Next meet this Saturday at Fulton.

On Thursday, varsity and JH softball Lady Rams will be traveling to Knox County. Due to low numbers on Knox's side, there will only be one varsity contest and one JH contest. Varsity will start the night playing @ 5pm. JH will follow. Both games will be played on the same field.

Mrs. Veatch’s third grade class enjoyed watching the monarch life cycle from egg to caterpillar to chrysalis to releasing a beautiful monarch last week.
