In Social Studies, first graders learned about goods and services. They practiced identifying goods and services in various texts and stories.




In Science, first grade has been talking about birds and how they use their beaks for survival. For a real-world connection, Mrs. Erwin brought her rooster, Frank, in for a visit.



Join us for our Title Spring Annual Meeting to discuss how we utilize our Title funds and how we could use these funds in the 2022-23 school year. We will meet in the conference room Monday, May 2nd at 3:30 PM before the scheduled PTO meeting.

Grand March starts at 6:00 pm. Those attending need to park behind the elementary building. Students will walk on the sidewalk from the south elementary door to the high school doors. If it rains it will be held in the high school gym. That decision will be made by 3:00 pm.

1st and 3rd grade buddy rooms worked together to design flowers as we approach springtime weather!




Knox County just canceled their varsity meet and the bus is now heading back to school.

First graders learned about numerous national symbols and monuments in Social Studies. They practiced their research, writing, and drawing skills as they each learned more about one symbol. Check out their work!




Second grade discussed soil and soil erosion in Science. They worked together on a lab to determine how they could slow erosion.




Second grade has been working on their money unit. While learning to count back change in math, Mrs. Applegate’s students took turns being the shopper and the cashier.
