This week is National Yearbook Week! Get your 24-25 yearbook order in by this Friday, October 11 and you will be entered into a drawing for a free yearbook (you will be reimbursed what you paid). You can order on the school website, at yearbookforever.com, or with a paper order form.
Elementary Parent/Teacher Conferences are Monday, Oct. 21 12:00-3:00 and Thursday, Oct. 24 4:00-7:00. Please call the elementary office at 660-956-4125 to schedule an appointment with your child's teacher.

First graders practiced subtraction with a card game. It was a fun way to practice simple addition and subtraction sentences.
🍎 Applesauce Day in Kindergarten 🍎
They learned about apples and explored their five senses by making applesauce. They peeled and cut apples, tried homemade applesauce, created an apple sentence, and painted with apples!
First graders have been working hard on story problems in math.

First graders have been working on labeling number bonds as they review their numbers and make partners that add up to certain values.
5th grade learned about mixtures in Science. Then, they gave it real-life context with pasta. 🍝

Junior high basketball will be starting October 17. Coach Dempsay and Coach Kaden will meet with interested jr high boys on Tuesday, October 8. If your child doesn’t have a current physical, they will need one before practicing.

Blake Robertson, nominated by Mrs. McClain, is a hard working student and plans to attend a trade school to become a welder after high school. He is a friendly student and I have really enjoyed working with him on his post-secondary planning. I wish him all the best during his senior year and beyond.
Justin Petary was nominated by Mrs. O'Haver. In talking to his A+ Mentoring teacher she says he is awesome and willing to help with students in art class and appreciates everything he does while in the classroom.
