JH/HS March Students of the Month:

Mrs. Wolf nominated Abby Leftwich because she is a delight to have in class. She is a hard worker, polite and always willing to go above and beyond what is needed in order to complete her assignments to the best of her ability. She is also a great asset to yearbook class! She is willing to help others and continuously asks what she can do and what needs to be completed to meet our deadlines. I am very thankful to have Abby in my classes this year!

Mrs. Priebe nominated Jesslyn because she is a very dependable and reliable student. She is always ready to learn and willing to do anything that is asked of her. Not only is she a great student in the classroom but she is a great athlete to coach. She never complains and is always willing to do whatever is asked of her.

Ms. Jones nominated Oakley Thompson because of her involvment with FFA CDE's. She participated on the Floriculture team with multiple returning upperclassmen and she made it a priority to show up to all of the contests and went above and beyond to study and better herself for each one. Great job Oakley!

4/1 Baseball results: We made an effort to get a baseball game in last night but the rain had other plans. We got 4 innings in before the officials called it. Because we did not play 5 innings it does not count as a game. ⚾️

Kindergartners have been hard at work fine-tuning their writing skills by drafting sequential and descriptive pieces.

First grade has been learning what plants need to grow during science. They planted zinnias!

Call the elementary office to set up your child's kindergarten screening on April 9.

BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider CPR
First Aid
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
Stop the Bleed Training
First Responder Training
EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) Training

4th-6th grade students had the opportunity to watch a play and meet three authors at the Literature Festival at Truman on Friday, March 27th.

We encourage everyone to wear RED for World Autism Acceptance on Thursday, April 2nd.

JH Scholar Bowl wrapped up the season tonight with 1st place in the Schuyler tournament. They are the Lewis & Clark JH Conference Champs! Harrison Kaden 3rd place and Robert McCormick 7th place for the all tournament team. 🧠

Mason Oliver broke the Davis County meet long jump record yesterday with a 20-10 jump. Congratulations, Mason!

We had a Pirate-themed STEAM Adventure family night. It was great to see so many families engaged with the activities. Thanks to Casey's and PTO for supper. Truman staff and students came to volunteer and host a Herpetarium station. A big thanks to Mrs. Daniels and her team for organizing a fun evening!
